| Dog grooming | | I have two miniature poodles called Secret and Magic. They have fur which grows constantly. I know that it is kind to brush their fur to get out any tangles. I have a dog groomer that visits my home to cut their fur every eight weeks. They had their fur cut short and over the weeks their fur will grow so much that they look like different dogs. Do you have to comb or brush your dogs fur?

| | Dog grooming | | I have two miniature poodle called Secret and Magic. I usually take them to a grooming parlor at a pet shop but they get distressed going there. Magic was so sad last time I left her there. Browsing through my local paper I saw a dog groomer advertising a home service. I thought I would try this out so yesterday Secret got a lovely haircut. The parlor cost £25 per dog plus £3 bus fares, the new groomer that does it at home costs just £19 per dog. Does your dog have to be groomed? If so how to do do this?

I've thought about ways to save money and cutting out the groomer is one of the things I've thought about. I tried grooming my Shelties (then I had 4) and it took me 8 hours to groom them, and that didn't include trimming their nails. After that ordeal, I decided I'd let a groomer do it from then on. | I Don't Know About You But I Think This Is Rather Cruel: The Pet Washer | | I heard this story on the very late news last night. It's a product called The Pet Washer and was "invented" in Japan and for awhile only used there, but some are even found in America now. It almost looks like a gigantic microwave and a dog or cat is placed in it, and one pushes a few buttons to start the wash cycle, it also can dry the pet as well. Now some might think this is a great invention and idea but there's already been some controversy about it as some think it smacks as downright cruelty, especially if one sees a video of a cat being "washed" this way. Would you ever think of using such a device to wash your pet?
