| Oral Hygiene | | Everyone or almost everyone brushes teeth at least twice a day. Once in the morning after waking up and once at night just before bed. Some, however brushes teeth after every meal. Anyway, it is a good practice to brush teeth at least twice a day to maintain Oral Hygiene. I scrap my tongue twice a day,after my morning brushing of teeth and one at night after brushing my teeth. Some people do not use the thin long stainless scrapper to scrap. Instead they use the same toothbrush to brush their tongues.What about you. Please share. | |
| | Do You Add Flossing As A Daily Routine To Your Oral Hygiene? | | I went to the dentist a month ago and got exam x-rays and a routine cleaning done,and I am happy to report a clean bill of dental health:-) It hasn't always been that way for me as a child I didn't get regular dental checkups like I should have (insurance wasn't what it is today(not that its all that great now but better than it was when I was growing up) My parents couldn't afford the insurance so although we brushed.....and sometimes flossed that was all we could do baking soda was used to whiten our teeth actually it worked pretty good to this day I like Arm & Hammer .
Anyay I was about 19 when I went to the dentist and only had 2 cavites go figure that! But by the time they were done cleaning my gums were so sore!! And I did have some gingivitis long story short I incorporated flossing into my dental habits now I don't always do it everyday but I do floss at least 4 times a week. I also use an electric toothbrush its a pretty good one and gets all the little nooks and cranny's especially those hard to reach back molars.I would like to keep as many of my natural teeth as possible i don't want to have to rsort to wearing dentures until abosolutely necessary (which I hope it... | |

| | Oral Hygiene - Do You Get Your Teeth Cleaned Every Six Months? | | Very straight forward question, do you? I went today after a year of not having them cleaned. They booked another appointment for me in six months and told me that my teeth are nice and I shouldn't risk ruining them by not having them cleaned every half a year (but I had no problems.. xD).I don't feel that it's necessary to have them cleaned that often if you brush and floss well. Once a year, I can fully understand as important, however, six months makes me feel like it's more about the money rather than the oral hygiene. I know it's been proven by scientists that it's essential to have them checked and cleaned every six months; I guess it's just me being stupid here.=PHow about you?
